1 cup all bran cereal

1 cup dried fruit

1 cup milk

1 tsp honey (or a bit more if using bigger cups!)

cinnamon/ground ginger/nutmeg

1 cup wholemeal flour

1tsp baking powder (more if using bigger cups)

  • Mix cereal, dried fruit, milk, honey and spices together and leave for 4 – 24 hours
  • Mix in the flour and baking powder, add a touch more milk if too dry but should be a fairly thick, sticky paste.
  • Put into a silicone tin in a fairly thin layer OR make as a thick loaf of bread style
  • Bake at 170C for 30 minutes for a thin layer or 1 hour for a loaf.
  • Cool in tin for 5 minutes. Then take out to cool completely.
  • Slice and freeze leftovers.
